Upright brooms come in three different varieties: Natural Corn brooms; Speedy Corn® (poly corn) brooms; and Standard Upright brooms. Corn brooms are the long-time standard. Broom makers have been using the natural fibers for generations and they still do because of their effectiveness and durability. Synthetic brooms are great for a variety of uses, including kitchens and large open areas. Upright Brooms provide surface maintenance for applications including residential, commercial, and hospitality.
There are three categories of upright brooms: natural corn brooms, PolyCorn® upright brooms, and standard upright brooms. The upright brooms are made with corn fiber, PET, polypropylene, and styrene fill material with a metal, plastic, steel, or wood handle. These uprights broom styles include: housekeeper, janitor, PolyCorn® upright, standard upright, and whisk. The uprights come is several fill colors: black, blue brown, gray, green, maize, red, and yellow. The uprights can be straight or angled and flagged or unflagged. Other selectable parameters include: trim length; trim angle size; acid/chemical resistant; number of stitching rows; overall length; head length; size; handle length; corn fiber quality, blook material, and usage grade.
Upright brooms have their bristles in the same line as the handle. This makes them easy to use and to get into tight spaces with relative ease. They cover a much smaller surface area than push brooms do, but they will get the job done just as well. Upright brooms are designed to provide general purpose sweeping. Angled brooms are great for reaching into corners, along walls, or into hard to reach areas for fast, efficient cleaning. Corn brooms are intended for dry sweeping and are commonly used for sidewalks, garages, basements, and other areas either indoor or outdoor. Its large sweeping head is also composed of natural fiber and corn bristles making it perfect for large places.
