An acid brush is a small disposable multi-purpose brush. Their name came from the plumbing industry, where they were used to apply acid flux for pipe soldering applications. Acid brushes are used to apply glue, or other liquids and [certain] chemicals, and for quick small-area cleaning or wiping applications. The synthetic and natural bristles are set in place with Epoxy or special high temperature Epoxy suitable for medical applications where the brush needs to be sterilized. These comfortable, form fitting brush handles can be made using a variety of materials including Aluminum, Brass, Stainless Steel, Zinc Plated Steel, and plastic materials such as Acetal and Nylon. Bristle materials include aluminum, brass, hog bristle, horse hair, nylon, phosphor bronze, stainless steel, and titanium. Our large selection of bristle materials ensures you can have a brush for any application. For example, brass brushes have less corrosion and natural bristle brushes can be static dissipative. Many of our Applicator & Acid brushes are Autoclavable, Static Dissipative, or Conductive.
Instrument and Parts Cleaning brushes are ideal for instrumentation and pinpoint cleaning. The fiber is mechanically crimped into a stainless steel tube, which is then inserted into a acetal handle. Bristle materials range from soft Nylon to Stainless Steel and Hog Bristle, or Horse Hair.
